This is a commemorative Royal Oak made as a limited edition to celebrate Sir Nick Faldo’s 1990 Masters and British Open back-to-back Golfing championships.

The watch is machined from a combination of stainless steel and tantalum, the first time this combination was used for a Royal Oak. A limited edition of 2,000 pieces, it was already pre-sold to 1,100 international collectors upon release!There is also a “championship” engraving on the caseback for that matter.

The 33mm is in great condition with strong lines, in fact we believe this watch is unpolished ! The Stern-made grey petit tapisserie dial is in great condition with the small , old style AP signature in the top half of the dial and a date at three.
The case is slim, thanks to the quartz movement, but wears bigger than the 33mm size would suggest, thanks to the sloping case at six and twelve. We believe the hands have been replaced at a service , but colour wise still a nice match .The Gay Frères signed bracelet is also made in steel and tantalum and is in really great condition and would fit a wrist size up to 18cm. The calibre 2612 quartz movement has been fully checked by our watchmaker & new battery is fitted.
